Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect out of counseling?

Counseling is a process. It requires that you are willing to show up and participate in your healing with dedication, and some openness and curiosity. Often people find themselves feeling emotions and having insights that are new and uncomfortable especially when they begin counseling. It is a vulnerable process to open up to someone new, so you can expect empathy and respect and someone who genuinely wants to help you.  Most people who are dedicated to the therapeutic process report having relief from symptoms, feeling more connected with themselves, and having a better quality of life.

What is the duration of a session?

Sessions are 50 minutes. Additional time available upon request.

I offer a free 15 minute consultation to answer questions and see if we are a good fit before our first session.

What are your rates?

$175-200 Individuals

$250 Relationship Counseling

I accept cash, check, and major credit cards.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently accept CareOregon (OHP-Healthshare) Insurance.

If you would like to use another insurance provider I can provide receipts called super bills for you to submit for your Out-of-Network mental health insurance benefits. How this works is you pay upfront and then submit the super bills to your insurance company, then they reimburse you. Contact your insurance company to inquire about the reimbursement process.

I can also provide receipts for submission to FSA or HSA accounts.
